Hello Sharon,

Often the ex-offender or felon job search will include some legal assistance. Since your crime is non-violent, you may be eligible to apply for expungement. Expungement would hide the conviction from public view meaning that if it is granted, it would only be visible to the court system, law enforcement and the court system.

You should consult a qualified professional that is experienced in this field to see if this is a viable option for you. Your local legal office may offer free or low cost legal services that can help with this process. The office may also have relationships with employers who are willing to hire ex-offenders. To find a job, you should contact your local One-stop career center.
