I tried for years to get a job only to be told it's not a good fit and some other rude comments by a few. I ended up creating a fake identity just for work purposes. I use my real info for housing and such and only use it for work. I don't really suggest this because it is a felony and I'm sure if I got caught I would get the max time allowed, but when I got to the point of having no food I didn't know what to do. Good Luck everyone.Unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06650000623119182642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2305965094924610850.post-12489493460103138232012-02-08T11:46:56.422-08:002012-02-08T11:46:56.422-08:00i was convicted of a statutory charge about 20 years ago and can identify with your situation. i have not been able to find regular work since the internet began posting their list of "dangerous" people. i found some work for room and board last year, and am currently looking for a community where sex offenders can live in peace... anywhere in the U.S. Let me know if you hear anything.tracyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01658354516359772291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2305965094924610850.post-10936153187607688532012-01-20T10:35:39.508-08:002012-01-20T10:35:39.508-08:00hi, my name is Lauren. i am currently dating a sex offender in a small Mississippi town. he received a statutory rape charge approximately 10 years ago, and has been drawing a check because work is so hard to come by. living off the government is not something either of us want for him in life, however there just seems to be no other option. we both want to build a life together, however things are looking worse than ever. if anyone has any information that could help in any way please do not hesitate to let me know.brookej38901http://www.blogger.com/profile/05935466484110869281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2305965094924610850.post-51137241465706151772011-10-29T23:22:38.058-07:002011-10-29T23:22:38.058-07:00I am a sex offender living in Reno, NV and am looking for work. Nobody does. Our cowardly government wants us to just go away and die. They may get there wish if I can not get a job soon.Todhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430553923111444753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2305965094924610850.post-36304632046989406692011-05-11T17:49:04.836-07:002011-05-11T17:49:04.836-07:00i am a sex offender to and i am a tier 1 and still try to get to a job but no one is willing t6o hire me and i been out of work for 10 years nowstephenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12759598965941396351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2305965094924610850.post-55394372687699964762011-05-05T15:14:44.905-07:002011-05-05T15:14:44.905-07:00Here in the state of Nevada, I don't know about other states, even the temp agencies will tell you the same thing, "As a sex offender you're not bondable, therefore we can consider your application." This is not true. There is a federal program in place to bond hard to place individuals, including sex offenders. Also, employers need to be aware of the other incentives (sp?) that are available to them if they hire ex felons of any sort. They can get up to $2400 tax credit, if they offer on the job training they can be reimbursed for up to 50% during the first six months, AND, as added bonus to the felon, US Bank has a program set up that will insure a home loan for an ex felon that is gainfully employed for one year. For further information, in Reno, NV, you can contact a non-profit organization called My Journey Home.Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06455419422401599437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2305965094924610850.post-11238129507435986332011-02-24T07:31:37.765-08:002011-02-24T07:31:37.765-08:00My brother is a registered sex offender that lives in the Cheasepeake area of Virginia. He has tried relentlessly to support himself and make a living but no one will hire him. He came out of prison in 2006 and has conitnuoulsy struggled since then. I am scared that he is going to eventually take his life because of not being able to get a break anywhere. Please help before it is too late.Nicholashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12914702387893305903noreply@blogger.com
